Wine Island 2017

(My very own sign – lol) Wine Island Festival, 2017.

Wine + Good Times

It’s been awhile in between blog posts I’m afraid due to the SILLY SEASON!!
About a month ago, I DJ’d at Wine Island Festival held on Clark Island on Sydney Harbour between Nov 10th-12th.
Now in it’s third year and my second year being the resident DJ on the island, punters were treated to an array of
tastings from various wineries in Australia as well as New Zealand and Italy. There were also masterclasses, silent disco
and a selection of delish eats from the Chur Burger team in Surry Hills.
It’s one of my fave gigs to do, not only do I get to spend it on an island but it’s also somewhat of a great challenge – mentally (and physically) doing two lots of 4 hour sets during each day! I took the holiday makers on a journey from classic reggae & dub,
Brazilian and African treats, summery renditions through to soul, disco and electronic stuff to make you feel like you’re in paradise!
Here is a selection of tracks from some of my playlists over the weekend x

Push the Button (disclaimer: this is not named after the Sugababes song) has been whipped up by Charlie Villas, a Sydney-based DJ and music curator. It  contains reflections on her three fave things in life – music, pop culture, and style, and weaves connections amongst these along the way.
